The Kokusai-dori area of Naha is the most convenient, with the monorail running direct from the airport; for a beachfront resort, Onna has an airport limousine bus to the hotel entrance. For the northern sights, take a bus or join a day tour.

If you want to go early in the morning or late afternoon when it's quieter, staying in Motobu is more relaxed; a day trip from Naha also works, but it's about 2 hours each way, so the day is rushed.
