The official site states that tickets go on sale 2 weeks before the visit date at 0:00 Japan time, and the counter also only sells tickets within 2 weeks. When adult tickets sell out online, the on-site counter is sold out too; spots in sold-out slots only reappear if someone cancels.
There's no separate “sunset ticket”: a sunset slot is just one of the regular 20-minute slots, at the after-15:00 price. The official homepage posts sunrise and sunset times daily, e.g. sunset at 16:59 on 2026/10/23; to watch the sky go from light to dark, book a slot 30–60 min before sunset, and there's no time limit once inside.
You can't enter before your time slot; if you're late, you may be asked to wait, pay the difference or be refused entry.
Japan is 1 hour ahead of Taiwan: sales opening at 0:00 Japan time is 11:00 the previous evening in Taiwan.
On the rooftop (SKY STAGE) you can only bring your phone and cameras or binoculars with a neck strap or that fit in a pocket. Bags, backpacks, tripods, selfie sticks, headphones, hats, food and drink, and anything that could blow away must go in the dedicated lockers on floor 46 (size H320×W375×D430mm).
Suitcases and other large luggage aren't allowed inside; leave them in a locker around Shibuya Station first. Carry-on bags are checked at entry.
In strong wind, rain, thunderclouds or extreme heat, the rooftop may close temporarily, while the indoor observation corridor on floor 46 stays open. No refunds after entry, and no re-entry once you leave.
Cancellation: online tickets from the official Webket can be canceled free of charge up to the day before your visit; on the day, they can only be canceled free before entry if the rooftop is closed during your time slot. Counter tickets can't be canceled. The official site states that resale tickets bought on Fliggy or Taobao won't be admitted.
SHIBUYA SKY is on the roof of Shibuya Scramble Square, which is directly connected to Shibuya Station (underground exit B6). The ticket counter and entrance are both on floor 14.

Room sizes, minutes to the station and breakfast hours for hotels in each area are all in the area comparison.
